The party secretary of GMC, Lin Changhu, went to Indonesia and Cambodia for the 2017 Education Exhibition For Foreign Students to Study In China (Guizhou) And The 2017 Guizhou-Cambodia University President Summit --Hand in Hand to Future

From June 18 to June 25, The party secretary of GMC, Lin Changhu, accompanied by persons in charge of Division of International Relations and School of Overseas Education, went to Indonesia and Cambodia for the series of activities of the 10th China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week---the 2017 Education Exhibition For Foreign Students to Study In China (Guizhou) and Guizhou-Indonesia University Cooperation and Exchange Fair held in Jakarta, Indonesia, and the 2017 Guizhou-Cambodia University President Summit--Hand in Hand to Future --held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.


On June 20, 2017, the 2017 Education Exhibition For Foreign Students To Study In China (Guizhou) was held in the Shangri-la Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia. Vice party secretary of Guizhou province, governor Sun Zhigang and Chinese Ambassador of ASEAN, Xu Bu, the director of the Department of International Cooperation OF the Ministry of Science and Technology Education in Indonesia, Nada, Minister of Southeast Asian Education, Gadotte, attended the exhibition, including 20 more universities in Guizhou, one of which is GMU.


At the education exhibition, Sun Zhigang stopped at the exhibition booth of our university, asking about and caring for the education development of GMU. Lin Changhu explained in detail the experience and achievements of GMU’s international medical education and foreign exchanges and cooperation in the current stage. Sun Zhigang gave affirmation and encouragement to our publicity work for this exhibition and recommended GMU to Ambassador Xu Bu and Secretary Nada. He pointed out, GMU is a medical university rich in culture and history, hoping GMU can use its own advantages of advanced medical education to strengthen foreign exchanges and cooperation, innovate the mode of international medical education, continuing to make greater contribution to economic and social development for Guizhou.


At this exhibition, Lin Changhu signed a memorandum of understanding of cooperation framework with 23 Indonesian universities on behalf of GMU. He also handed invitation letters to Indonesian university presidents for the 10th China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week. Lin said GMU should continue to strengthen communication with universities in Indonesia, conduct deep win-win cooperation and hoping to reach substantive results out of this conference.




During the exhibition, there were a number of university representatives and student parents who came to our booth to ask about GMU. Lin Chang-hu and our staff patiently introduced basic conditions of school and our international education.



On June 22, 2017, the 2017 China-Cambodia University President Summit - Hand in Hand to Future- was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Sun Zhigang, and the Chargé d'affaires of Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, Tan Qingsheng, Secretary of State of Cambodian Education Youth and Sports Ministry, Pi Cha Nan, director of Royal Academy of Cambodia, H.E. KHLOT Thyda, vice president of Khmer-Chinese Association In The Kingdom Of Cambodia, Zheng Mianfa, and others attended the summit.


At the summit, Lin Changhu and Cambodian university presidents took discussions. He and representatives from Cambodia Health Science and Technology University, Cambodia International University and other universities had deep talks about further strengthening cooperation and exchanges. He sincerely invited the Cambodian university presidents to participate in the China-ASEAN Medical Education Summit Forum of the 10th China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week, which is held by GMU.



During the forum, Sun Zhigang cordially inquired about the exchanges and cooperation between GMU and Cambodian universities. Lin Changhu briefed the governor on the achievements of the forum and the study and living conditions of the Cambodian students studying in our university. The contents of the report were highly confirmed by the governor.


From June 23 to 24, Lin Changhu participated in the enrollment introduction held in Berti International School in Phnom Penh, and Angkor High School in Siem Reap, Cambodia. During the introduction, Lin Changhu, on behalf of GMU, introduced the overall development of GMU, the foreign cooperation and exchanges and the education for foreign students, encouraging and welcoming Cambodian students to study in GMU.
