First SRCN Training Class in Guizhou

In early September, GMU signed a cooperation agreement with Swedish Royal College of Nursing(SRCN)on nursing and management for aged people, and now with efforts of both sides and the support of the government, from Sept. 23rdto25th,SRCN offered a training class in GMU about nursing the physically and mentally challenged elderly, which is a first in Guizhou province. There were 27 people that took part in the class including students and teachers from School of Nursing of GMU,care workers from hospitalsas well asstudents and managerial personnel from other nursing or medical school in Guizhou Province.

Experts fromSRCNmade a systematic introduction of latest theories, methods and skills for nursing the physically and mentally challenged elderly in the world.Interactive activities and case studies made the class very interesting, everyone in the class enjoyed and learned.

The class is a very big success which means a lot in popularizing the nursing knowledge for the physically and mentally challenged elderly, cultivating more qualified care workers and eventually promoting the development of the health-care for the elderly in Guizhou.
